During the last days I made a few surveys in the urban areas of Berlin-Kreuzberg (Reichenberger Strasse, Oranienstrasse and Wrangelstrasse) about what people love and don’t like about their city area.
The questions were: “What do you love about your urban area?” (Was liebst Du an Deinem Kiez?) – The answers the people could choose from were: – “Good Food / Subculture / Neighbors and Flair”
The second question was: “What annoys you in your urban area?” (Was nervt Dich in Deinem Kiez?) – The answers for the people to choose from were: – Hipsters / Speculators / Tourists / Drug Dealers”
In another survey the people had the opportunity to write down their own thoughts to the question: “Do you live here? What worries you?” (Wohnst Du hier? Was bereitet Dir Sorgen?)
The last street art survey was rather broad and I asked: “What do you need in your life to survive (except food?” (Was brauchst Du zum Überleben? (Ausser Nahrung). The people could give answers such as: Love/Security – Sport/Movement – Music/Art – Drugs/Alcohol.
Please see the replies of my survey below from today (3 days in the streets):
